Dear All:
There have been some very thoughtful posts made anonymously by several people with views on both sides of the vote issue. While the safety of anonymity is one of the great beauties of the blog format, multiple "Anonymouses" can be confusing in following the arguments. It may make it easier for us to follow the logic of discussion if anonymous posters were to use "pen names" รก la "Stuck on Sidelines" and to put the pen name in the From line of the email used to make the post.
I assure you that no post to the blog can be traced to an individual who does not sign with her/his true name. Anonymity will be preserved, but the elaboration of dialog and understanding of points of view will be greatly enhanced.
For those who have already posted anonymously, I invite you to choose a pen name and make a post with the first lines/dates of your previous posts so that I may tag them with your "nom de blog".
For those who continue to prefer using their own names, please feel free!
I hope this instrument continues to develop as a useful tool as the election approaches.
