From Bill Mohler - New discussions on strengths of a faculty union.

Dear UCHC Faculty:

The five most recent posts on the faculty discourse blog present arguments and testimonials on the Merits of unionization of faculty. Most notable, perhaps, are those from Storrs faculty and from UMDNJ - a hospital-affiliated state-run multidisciplinary health center, whose faculty have been organized by AAUP since 1973.

Also of interest:  Jerry Langer, PhD, (a faculty member at UMDNJ who has been a UMDNJ-AAUP officer and is now an associate dean in administration at UMDNJ's Robert Wood Johnson Med school) is willing to answer questions and share experience from both the faculty and admin perspective via a conference call or videoconference with UCHC faculty. Please let me know if you have an interest in taking part, and I can work to set up an electronic meeting.
