From Anonymous: Dr. Deckers' misdirection

My, my Dr. Deckers!  Speaking of conveniently omitting important facts!  We are all aware of the CASE report.  In addition, anyone who has paid a modicum of attention to the process has noted how much the nature of the proposed merger has changed since the original RFP.  In fact, St. Francis made that point effectively and explicitly.  You acknowledge how the original proposal was altered with "legislative and executive branch knowledge."  Hmm.. armed with that knowledge, the merger was summarily rejected by the executive and legislative branches!  Just a short time ago, the Hartford Courant reported on a high-level meeting among area hospitals designed to hammer out an agreement among all of them.  Open and honest?  Why was this new direction not made public among the faculty of the Health Center?  You assert that a pro-AAUP email "grossly mischaracterized" the reasoning behind the proposed partnership and that "feel compelled to set the record straight."  So, why don't you do that?  Your statement did not point to one "gross mischaracterization."
