However, Phil's question does remain valid. Major public University Medical Schools, for example The University of Michigan, The University of California schools at LA, Davis, San Diego, etc., The University of Texas schools, are certainly elegible for unionization if the faculty so votes. What is faculty experience with unionization at major public university medical schools? I think in a profession where we demand evidence to support all of our clincal decisions, some evidence in support of the union from faculty at the type of major public university medical school to which we all would like UCONN to aspire would be helpful to all of us who are in the process of deciding which way to vote.
