Just to clarify the facts: I was on staff at Hartford Hospital for 13 years; in private practice; not paid at all by Hartford Hospital; educated the medical students and residents the same way I do here (altruistically and for free, without compensation from the medical school); and have received several teaching awards. A merger would be seamless for those like myself, which I believe comprise the majority of physicians at Hartford Hospital.
There are many untruths being disseminated on these emails, intentionally or unintentionally. I didn’t want the second sentence in Laks’ email to drift by as one of these.
