I do not see how efforts to make it possible for all qualified faculty members to vote in this important election is "smoke to derail choice and an election". Can you explain? No one on this email trail has suggesting postponing or canceling the election, rather we are simply asking for our voices to be heard and our opinions counted as a vote in the election.
And may I ask when you "asked for opinions and suggestions for some time"? I do not recall seeing any emails about this.
