Dr Levine's comments are very thoughtful and constructive.
This has been a "Groundhog Day" or "Deja Vu All Over Again" for the 3rd time in a decade.
I agree that the process and results express long term unresolved problems and point out to trust related issues between the administration and faculty that have not been resolved.
As to the "Johnny come lately" complaints , there are always people who are away for a veracity of reasons and that will not change. For such an important vote people should have considered their priorities and potential consequences. Those who thought for whatever reason that the vote will be a "slam Dunk" for one party have woken up with the "Bill Belickeck Syndrome" (4th & 2?!:-(
We had bitter contests nationally, Bush-Gore, Minnesota and other races. Nevertheless, democratic results regardless of their results should be respected without producing the "Conspiracy Theory Du Jour".
