Dear UMG faculty,
As an FYI, there have been many representatives of the UMG faculty on the UMG task force and its subcommittees. They have been meeting since the spring and have several recommendations regarding cost control, revenue enhancement, UMG organization, and the development of a compensation plan to reward clinically productive faculty. The comp plan includes a revenue and an RVU plan that has been reviewed and approved by the chairs and the BOD. We were prevented from presenting the PowerPoint slides regarding the Task force findings to the faculty at large prior to the election however now that the election is over the task force would like to move forward to implement the plan in the new year. It is time for us to start rewarding the productive clinical faculty who work hard every day treating patients while educating our students and residents.
